Chocolate Chip Cookies

I’ve been trying to find the perfect cookie for ages, none seem to be fitting the bill for me though every recipe I find that states its the “perfect cookie” just always fall short, they are always good but never quite enough, well in my opinion anyway… Always manage to be too crunchy, too chewy, too thin or too thick, even once managed to make them taste like fried eggs. Anyway this is the closest I’ve come to the “perfect” chocolate chip cookie for now.

Ingredients:

• 90g flour
• 75g melted unsalted butter
• 90g brown sugar
• 45g white sugar
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 egg
• 1 egg yolk
• 2 tsp vanilla essence
• 150g of chocolate chips

 

Oatmeal cookies

These are the first cookies I’ve made without following any sort of recipe 🙂 and I must say they turned out quite well if I do say so myself they have walnut, oats, chocolate and some cinnamon ( I don’t quite know why i added these they would have been fine without it but it was just sitting beside me so just popped some in) These will store well for a few days in a closed tin ( I used an old roses tin from Christmas, does the job well )
