Oatmeal cookies

5 Feb

These are the first cookies I’ve made without following any sort of recipe 🙂 and I must say they turned out quite well if I do say so myself they have walnut, oats, chocolate and some cinnamon ( I don’t quite know why i added these they would have been fine without it but it was just sitting beside me so just popped some in) These will store well for a few days in a closed tin ( I used an old roses tin from Christmas, does the job well )

ingredients:

  • 90g brown sugar
  • 80g soften butter
  • 1 egg
  • 90g flour
  • 60g oats
  • 50g chopped walnuts
  • 50g broken chocolate
  • half a tsp of cinnamon

method:

  • Pre-heat oven to 190 degrees
  •  Cream together the brown sugar and soften butter
  • Add the egg and mix well into the creamed mixture
  • Then add the flour in 2 goes mixing well after each addition
  • then add oats again mixing well
  • Add walnuts and chocolate
  • finally add the cinnamon and give the whole thing a good mix

  • Lay out cookies as in above picture and cook for about 8-15 minutes depending on how crunchy you like your ccookies
  • when done let the cookies cool completely in a wire rack

These cookies take all in all about 30 minutes to make and are very easy 🙂
